Location of the action: SRB: BiH:
Sremska Mitrovica City of Tuzla
Target groups: TG1 – Minimum 350 institutional representatives from Sremska Mitrovica and Tuzla out of which, minimum 40% of one gender, and at least 5% from organisations working with socio-marginalized population

TG2 – 32 Institutions

TG3 – 1000 citizens involved in the activities, minimum 40% of female and minimum 50 Roma minorities or persons with disabilities

Commencement date and project duration: April 1st 2021, 24 months
Overall objective: To reduce vulnerability and increase resilience to natural and man-made disasters in cross-border area of Tuzla and Sremska Mitrovica
Specific objective(s) or project purpose: SO1. To improve civil protection capacities for emergency prevention and reaction in cross-border area

SO2. To significantly increase preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters observing the best European Union practices in prevention and response of all organisations/institutions in the protection and rescue system in the cross-border area

SO3. To increase visibility of vulnerability and resilience values using EU and ECHO Communication and Visibility Guidelines

Activities and results of the project

 

Results

R 1.1. – Established effective and efficient management structure including monitoring and internal evaluation based on PCM techniques and best practices

R 1.2. – Cross-Border Project Management Team established, functional and trained in project management

R 2.1. – Cross-border multi-disciplinary – mobile team for preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters observing the best European Union practices in prevention and response of all organisations/institutions in the protection and rescue system in the cross-border area is established and equipped for providing life-saving actions

R 2.2. – Detailed disaster risk management training needs for preparedness and response to natural and man- made disasters developed

R 2.3. – Relevant stakeholders became certified Trainers according to the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction guidelines and implementation of the Sendai Framework

R 3.1 – Developed dedicated project webpage, as well as other communication materials, in line with the EU and ECHO Communication and Visibility Guidelines, to inform the public about the project’s objectives and regular achievements

R 3.2 – Ensured standard visibility for the EU as a donor through digital and printed materials on project values and vulnerability and resilience

Establishment and equipping cross-border multi- disciplinary – mobile team for preparedness and response to natural and manmade disasters observing the best European Union practices in prevention and response of all organisations/institutions in the protection and rescue system in the cross-border area is established and equipped for providing life-saving actions

A 2.2. Capacity Building Need assessment and Implementation of detailed disaster risk management training for preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters

A 2.3. – Relevant stakeholders capacity building and certification according to the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction guidelines and implementation of the Sendai Framework

A3.1. Communication with the public about the project’s objectives and regular achievements
