On 9 December 2013, in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism in Sarajevo, a meeting for the representatives of the tourism sector, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia and Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Bosnia and Herzegovina was organized by leading applicant of CROSS SPA project, Foundation of Local Democracy.
Representatives ot the tourism sector of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, Tourism Organization of the Region of Western Serbia and Regional Development Agency Zlatibor in an interview with minister of tourism and environment of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mrs. Branka Djuric and her collaborators, the director of Reumal Special Hospital in Fojnica and members of Foundation of Local Democracy in Sarajevo, discussed the potential areas of cooperation and defined future joint activities.
Mrs. Mirjana Kovacevic, an independent consultant in the tourism sector of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia, stated the Serbian experience in the process of restaurants categorization and specialization and in designing and implementing the Decree on conditions that must be met by health institutions. The delegates of all institutions concluded that is necessary to establish Regional resource center for education of personnel in the field of tourism and hospitality industry. The positive experience of the Federation of B&H in collecting the Tourist boards dues was presented by minister Branka Djuric. Tourism Organization of the Region of Western Serbia is invited to take part in the Organization board of upcoming Sarajevo Tourism Fair, whose organizer in 2014 is going to be the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
