Overall objective: Enhancement of socio-economic development in the cross-border area between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, through the implementation of targeted and concrete actions, based on comparative advantages of the programmes area and the joint, efficient use of resources

A1.1 Waste management planning

A1.1.1 Development of guidelines BAT/BEP on zero waste concept in municipalities

A1.1.2 Development of guidelines on municipal waste monitoring and reporting

A1.1.3 Development of zero waste action plans (including site cleaning action plans etc.) in pilot municipalities

A1.1.4 Development of technical-investment documentation for the zero waste technique tailored to the needs of pilot municipalities

A1.1.5 Development of hot-spots interactive GIS maps in pilot municipalities

A1.2 Pilot projects

A1.2.1 Purchase and installation of equipment to improve waste management services and to increase recycling

A1.2.2 Cleaning of selected dumpsites

A2. Informing and building capacities of citizens and companies for sustainable solid waste management through promotion of activities that will enhance protection of the Drina and Sava river catchment areas

A2.1.1 Training for institutions engaged in waste management in CBC (municipal departments, waste utilities, etc.) on zero waste concept in municipalities and municipal waste monitoring and reporting

A2.1.2 Practical on- site instruction/education of waste utility staff and local communities in pilot municipalities on new waste separation programme
