In SRB following target groups are identified:

Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia; Mountaineering Association Tara; Ministry of interior affairs of Republic of Serbia- Sector for emergency situations-local (municipal fire units) and police units at local level; Local self-governments – Municipal management, Task forces for emergency situations and civil protection

Local communities; Medical centres and health emergency units; Local schools; Local civil society organizations; Public utilities, telecommunication and transport providers (as secondary responders)

Strengthened cross-border cooperation, coordination and joint actions between the Mountain Rescue Services of Serbia and Mountain Rescue Services Bosnia and Herzegovina in area cross-border area

R2: Joint capacity building activities implemented;

R3: Improved equipment of MRSs for rescuing in floods and river accidents and mountain accidents;

R4: Raised public awareness in matters of civil protection, complementary to other national and EU practices and with focus on needs of vulnerable groups (children, elderly people, etc);

R5: Project promoted in line with EU visibility guidelines

Activities

Activities relevant for Result 1:

 Signing of the protocol on cross-border cooperation;

Signing of inter-sector protocols;

Creation of joint database of rescuers;

Creation of joint online library with relevant documents and operational documents exchange;

 Implementation of joint IT application for registering and reporting accidents;

Activities relevant for Result 2:

 Joint trainings of teams for rescuing from floods and river accidents implemented in area of Drina river;

Joint trainings for rescuing from mountain accidents implemented in area of Zlatibor district and Bosnia and Herzegovina: Brčko District and municipalites: Istočni Stari grad, Foča, Trnovo,Hadžići, Sarajevo Novi Grad, Stari Grad, Sarajevo Centar, Novo Sarajevo, Orašje, Bjelljina and Teočak;

 Organization of joint rescue exercise;

Design and implementation of online training platform;

 Initial participation in Training of trainers/instructors;

Accreditation /certification of trainings;

Activities relevant for Result 3:

Procurement of rescuing equipment (basic equipment, rescuing sets and rescuing vehicles);

Equipping of premises of MRS in Sarajevo and Mountaineering Association Tara;

Activities relevant for Result 4:

Survey of public attitudes on prevention, preparedness and reactions in disasters, Organization of awareness raising campaign targeting general population;

Organization of awareness raising campaign targeting elderly vulnerable groups;

Organization of trainings for representatives of public sector; Organization of awareness building campaign through social media and internet

Activities relevant for Result 5:

Production and distribution of printed visibility materials; Organization of project promotion conferences;

 Updating project partners’ web sites with project page;

 Promotion of the project in local, regional and national media;
