In the framework of the  project ” Open-Air Everywhere!” a three-day cross-border education session on “Communication and Marketing in the Tourism Sector” took place at the “Salis” hotel in Tuzla.

Welcoming participants, Mayor Zijad Lugavić emphasized the significance of such education for tourism development, stating, “Education provides an opportunity to acquire new knowledge and skills in marketing, promoting tourist products, communication, and presenting tourist destinations. This gathering serves as a platform for networking and exchanging experiences among participants to further promote and enhance the cross-border tourism offerings.”

Key representatives from tourism organizations, service providers in tourism, and associations promoting the tourist potential of Tuzla Canton and the western region of Serbia attended the event.

As part of the project, plans include upgrading the tourist infrastructure of the Ilinčica excursion site, involving the enhancement and expansion of existing facilities for active outdoor activities. This encompasses the construction of a 100-meter zip-line and a 10-meter climbing wall, as well as the development of a recreational park for the youngest members of the community. A significant focus will be on building capacities for key stakeholders in tourism to promote these types of attractions and activities that align with the outdoor tourism concept.

The project’s strong contributions will include networking key players in the tourism sector and identifying potentials for future joint promotion of tourism products in both regions.
