Study visit to Slovenia took place in the period from 14th to 18th of March 2014 with aim to exchange experiences and good practice from the field of beekeeping . On the study trip there were 15 representatives from Prijepolje and 15 representatives from Gorazde.
The aim of the trip was a visit to the 37th International Fair of beekeeping ApiSlovenia , which was held on 15 and 16 March 2014 in Celje. This is one of the largest exhibitions of bee-keeping in the Balkans. The fair was focused on the latest trends and techniques of beekeeping, introducing of new products, tools and beekeeping equipment.
Here are a few facts that prove that this fair was very important for the visitors especially for beekeepers from Gorazde and Prijepolje:
ApiSlovenia gives the opportunity for the largest annual gathering of local and foreign beekeepers
– Opportunity to exchange views on the latest beekeeping issues
– Direct contact with consumers
– The event was attended by more than 4,000 visitors
Besides visiting the fair, we organized a visit to beekeeping association in the municipality of Markovci – Ptuj, where we had a day socializing beekeepers from three countries with the exchange of experiences and learning from each other.
We also organized one day visit to tourist place Bled.
