Caritas Šabac in mid-November 2013th, within the framework of the project “Strengthening professional adult education in rural areas”, which is implemented within the second call of IPA Cross-border Programme Serbia – BiH, financed by the European Union from the pre-accession IPA funds, has started with the implementation of vocational trainings in seven different fields in Šabac as well.
Vocational trainings are being implemented by the professors of the school for economics and trade, in the premises of the school, and if necessary, the practical part is executed outside of the school. Currently, a realization of trainings for homemade food; tour guides; growing, collecting and processing herbs; beekeeping and training for home care providers is in progress.
Realization of trainings for rural tourism providers and for providers of additional touristic services is in preparation.
Within the project, it is planned that for each of 7 vocational trainings 8 thematic fields are covered for specific area and two thematic fields of law and marketing.
The aim of the project is to offer new employment opportunities to the people from rural areas in Serbia and BiH by strengthening the professional adult education in rural areas. Partners and collaborators on the project in the city of Šabac are: Caritas Šabac, City Management, Local office of the National Employment Service, Center for Social Work and Tourism Organization.
