On Friday, 27th September, 2013, at 12:00, at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Novi Sad, there was a meeting of managers of the IPA project team “Improvement of the postural status and the spinal column status – SPINLAB” from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the representatives of the project team from Serbia. The Faculty of Sport and Physical Education UNSA was represented by the attending professor Izet Raco – the project manager from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and professor Dejan Madic, the Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Novi Sad, and the project Manager from Serbia.
Apart from the aforesaid attendees, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Accounting Department, Goran Janicic, and the associate for international cooperation and public relations, Darinka Korovljev.
The topic of the meeting was consolidation of the Project Action Plan, for the first four months, as well as the analysis of cooperation and expert activities of the project teams. Discussions also included the topics referring to target groups of the project and specifying of certain technical details relating future testing and education, purchase of equipment, tender procedures and project sustainability, as well as the discussions about the possibilities of improving synchronization of all project activities of the partners, in order to provide the best possible running of the project.
The attendees pointed out to the necessity of purchase of the same type of testing equipment, with the purpose of providing better, higher grade and more comparable data obtained from the research activities.
The Dean, Professor Dejan Madic, PhD, emphasized that he will separately send all necessary technical details about the partners, prior to beginning of the tender process.
The meeting was characterized as a very successful one, whereby both partner institutions confirmed their academic prestige in the region, and their position among the first ones qualified for realization of the most significant scientific and research projects, for which they have the confidence of the office of the European Union, in both countries, and for which they are entrusted with realization of this elite project.
