The main event of the Biathlon was rafting on the Lim River. All necessary safety equipment was acquired: 20 rafting boats, 200 oars, 200 safety vests, 200 safety helmets, 20 lifelines, repair kits, emergency kits, waterproof bags and one electrical pump. The project activities entailed cleaning of the river and the river banks. Procured boats and other necessary equipment enabled some unreachable places along the river banks to be successfully cleaned. Total of 20 m3 of solid communal waste, 100 bags of PET ambalage, 1000 kg of grass was collected and disposed during these actions.
Capacities of rafting clubs ”Dabar“ and ”Valine “ were enhanced through conducting training for 30 members. After training theoretical and practical tests were taken and rafting guide’s licenses were issued to the successful trainees.
During the Manifestation was ensured free movements of participants across state borders. Thanks to an excellent cooperation between authorities of both countries, participants of the Biathlon could cross the borders without problems.
