Within Safe Food Region project, which is co-financed by the EU under the IPA Cross-border Programme Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina , realized study visitto the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Mostar. The delegation included representatives of 20 companies from the region of Valjevo Regional Chamber of Commerce and 15 companies from the region of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Bijeljina, participants of trainings for food safety . The main purpose of the visit was to exchange best practices, knowledge and experiences between producers , processors , traders and consumers of food.
The delegation had the opportunity to learn about the work and responsibilities of the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina , to hear first hand experience of implementation and enforcement of food safety in the cross-border market.
The Bosnian companies will be coming to a return visit Valjevo on 25 and 26 November, when they will have the opportunity to learn about the experiences of Serbian companies, examples of good practice in the implementation of the principles of safe production and distribution of food .
