 <\/strong><\/td>\n

RESULT NO. 1:  <\/strong>Technical preconditions for separate collection of municipal waste established in 6,400 households in Uzice and Tuzla<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 1.1: Development of a layout plan, procurement and placement of the equipment for separate collection of municipal waste<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 1.2: Defining of criteria, realization of trainings and distribution of composters to the households<\/p>\n

RESULT NO. 2 :<\/strong> Tecnical and personnel capacities of 2 local and   1 regional utility  company  increased for separate municipal waste collection<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 2.1: Procurement of special trucks for collection and transport of waste<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 2.2 Procurement and installation of a baling press for recyclable waste in Uzice<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 2.3 Development of the Program and realization of training for the employees at the public utility companies<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 2.4 Realization of a study tour  in EU country for project team and PUC’s representatives<\/p>\n

RESULT NO. 3:<\/strong> Systems of  Education and Monitoring for separate collection of  municipal waste and home composting  developed and established<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 3.1:  Realization of a set of educational activities  for the population  together with the transfer of instructions for acting in the newly established system<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 3.2: Development  and realization of a joint three-day training for students educators and their professors<\/p>\n

Activity no. 3.3: Implementation of monitoring of the households included in the newly established system with periodic reporting<\/p>\n

Activity no. 3.4: Realization of a study tour in EU country for citizens “champions” in WM<\/p>\n

RESULT NO. 4:<\/strong> Local community familiarized  with the concept of the newly established system and participates actively in its functioning<\/p>\n

       Activity no. 4.1: Development and implementation of extensive media campaigns, targeted at the population of the two cities<\/p>\n

  • Separate municipal waste collection systems were introduced in 6,400 households in U\u017eice and Tuzla<\/li>\n
  • Home composting systems were established in 600 households in suburban areas<\/li>\n
  • Waste separation at the source was implemented using containers of different colours and capacities<\/li>\n
  • Significant landfill space savings were achieved through increased recycling and secondary waste separation<\/li>\n
  • Greenhouse gas emissions were reduced through separation and composting of biodegradable waste<\/li>\n
  • Equipment procured through the project included 10,000 waste bins, 600 composters, 144 containers, 2 waste collection trucks, and 1 baling press for recyclable materials<\/li>\n
  • Waste collected through primary selection was transported to secondary separation centres in PUC \u201cDuboko\u201d and PUC \u201cKomunalac\u201d<\/li>\n
  • Public awareness and citizen participation were strengthened through media campaigns, 9 workshops, 13 information sessions, and a three-day training programme<\/li>\n
  • Local governments expanded the areas covered by primary waste selection systems through continued implementation of public policies<\/li>\n
  • The project established one of the first sustainable models of primary waste separation and recycling in the cross-border area, creating the basis for future waste management initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
