Activities and results of the project

Sarajevo Canton and Zlatibor County are well known for its metal industry. However, what they luck is meeting all the current standards applied abroad. The project was an opportunity to connect companies from these two regions and to rise their competitiveness by application of contemporary practices, improvement of existing skills, and using promotional events as well.

The project included 30 companies that are traditionally oriented towards export of their products. They were offered support via different training events for their employees and management. Training for the management included knowledge related to modern management principles, organization and internal communication, as well as negotiation skills. The trainings for employees focused on two main topics/skill set: training for CNC operators and programmers and training for welders and specific metal processing operations.

Also they were given an opportunity to participate at the renewed industrial fairs in Hannover, Germany and Paris, France. The Guide on metal processing sector in cross-border area was prepared, 2100 copies printed containing profiles of 30 companies in 5 languages (Serbian, Bosnian, English, French and German). The Guide was to promote companies on international markets, as well as in the cross border region.

All the activities within the project aimed for the improvement of the production and its adapting to the requirements of the European market.
