On Saturday, 01.03.2014 Caritas Šabac has organized visit to the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade. The visit has been organized within the project “Strengthening adult professional education in rural areas”, which is implemented under the Second Call IPA Cross-border Programme Serbia – Bosnia and Hercegovina. Fair was visited by 50 participants of trainings conducted within the project, trainers and the project team.

Belgrade Tourism Fair is the biggest tourist event in Serbia and South East Europe. It meets the international standards in business for more than 30 years, building partnerships with the exhibitors with a quality offer and variety of events each year, attracting an increasing number of visitors, as well as various representatives from the public and private sectors.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about the variety of tourist attractions, some of which were related to the most important to them: rural tourism, additional activities within the rural tourism, processing of local products and the like. Through examples of good practice, they were given an incentive to improve their ideas, to transform their new knowledge into practice and establish new contacts. Visit to the Tourism Fair is one of the important activities of the project, primarily for the participants of the trainings.
